Millstones — a Family Craft

When our family first became interested in millstones, we had no intention of starting a production. We were repairing flour-milling equipment in Ukraine and abroad. This experience made us realize that the quality of bread depends directly on the quality of flour. We saw flour produced by mills with corundum and ceramic millstones and noticed that such stones grind the grain too harshly and do not provide a fine enough flour.

We wanted to eat real, good bread — the kind our ancestors used to bake. We know from the stories passed down through generations that bread was the main food for hundreds of years. Our forefathers went to herd cattle or work in the fields, and all they had for the day was a jug of milk and a piece of bread. With this, they plowed, sowed, and harvested. Bread is the foundation of life itself.

Over time, we began baking bread ourselves and built our first mill. We tested dozens of different types of stone until we found the perfect one — the same kind our great-grandfathers used for millstones. It is strong, has the right texture and granularity, and grinds the grain gently into fine flour.

Now we produce mills with natural stone millstones that deliver flour unmatched in Ukraine and across Europe.

Today, The Miller mills are purchased both in Ukraine and abroad — in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Our mills are created by a big family who have come a long way — from building their first handmade mill to becoming international exporters. Every mill is made with experience, love, and inspiration. We strive to stay genuine, live in harmony with ourselves and the world, preserve ancient traditions, and pass them on to our children.
